I figured I would try this drive mechanic software before I reformat the disk and loose all my data. I'm happy to say that my hard drive is back working and I was able to recover everything. I have come across many problems that appear to have no explanation for cause and sometimes no FIX either. I was working on a machine for a company that had a "hard drive crash". All their accounting information was on there with no backup. Couldn't access the drive no matter what utilities I tried. thought it was a gonner for sure. Honestly, I planned on getting a refund after using it. In about 10 minutes, it scanned and repaired my crashed hard drive that was unreadable. For me, it turned out to be worth the $70.
